🍽️ Season IV | Series II – In Culinary Conversation
Featuring Chef Victory Martinez
Lead Chef Instructor | UNITE HERE Chicago Hospitality Institute
Season IV of In Culinary Conversation continues with an inspiring evening featuring Chef Victory Martinez, a Chicago native whose culinary journey spans some of the most respected kitchens in the country—and now, the next generation of chefs.
👨🍳 ABOUT CHEF VICTOR MARTINEZ
Chef Victor’s culinary story began in his father’s bistro, where he discovered his passion for food at a young age. After culinary school, his career quickly expanded through some of the most notable names in hospitality, including Hyatt, Sofitel, Renaissance, Four Seasons, Conrad Chicago, Hilton Oak Brook Hills, and The Drake Hotel.
Along the way, Victor began to view cooking not just as a profession, but as an art form and a responsibility—one meant to be shared. His passion for mentorship led him to teaching roles with Purdue University’s Hospitality & Tourism Management program, and eventually to his current role as Lead Chef Instructor at UNITE HERE Chicago Hospitality Institute, where he helps shape future culinary professionals through the Chef de Partie Apprenticeship Program.
With over 25 years of industry experience, Chef Victor brings a rare blend of technical expertise, leadership, and heart to the kitchen—and to this conversation.
